ABOUT OUR FRATERNITY
Delta Sigma Pi
Delta Sigma Pi is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; to encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students for their mutual advancement by research and practice; to promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.
Delta Sigma Pi was founded on November 7, 1907 at New York University by four Founding members: Alexander Frank Makay, Alred Moysello, Henry Albert Tienken, and Harold Valentine Jacobs. Over time, Delta Sigma Pi has grown and established over 350 collegiate and alumni chapters, initiating more than 260,000 members.
As a fraternity for business majors, its goal has always been to help shape and develop future business leaders and professionals. The fraternity offers opportunities for growth in leadership and professional skills, a vast network that extends internationally, and valuable lifelong friendships.

ABOUT OUR CHAPTER
Long Beach - Pier 9
The Long Beach-Pier 9 Alumni Chapter was originally founded in 1996 by nine local Deltasigs (hence, the name "Pier 9"). The Founding Fathers started the alumni chapter as a means to continue the strong brotherhood relationships fostered during their days as collegiate brothers. Long Beach-Pier 9 continued to grow and went on to become a nationally recognized and award-winning chapter. After a ten years hiatus, Pier 9 was re-franchised in 2014. The chapter welcomes local Deltasigs in Greater Los Angeles County and Orange County areas.
